8. I loathe Macron but actually support him on this. What does having a NATO outpost in Japan really achieve? We should be looking to improve relations with China, not the opposite and especially when there is no real benefit to an action.
   To be clear, Japan itself didn’t really want the outpost.

   Edit: All the articles of NATO are focused on Europe. I see no need to have NATO changing its mandate to suddenly include Asia or other parts of the world. Separate alliances exist and are more than adequate.
