For lunch, I ate 46 Nigiri with 30 of them being Spanish Bluefin Tuna (or so they say)

I also ate an additional 7 and a half rice leftovers (my friends only ate the fish part of those). They would’ve charged an extra dollar per rice leftovers.

The last one was a Tamago nigiri. I could barely chew that one because I had no appetite left.

  1. This costs $45, $57.15 after tax and tips for AYCE.

There was a recent price hike a month ago from $36 to $45.

  2. I’m so jealous because I currently cannot eat sushi, and impressed at your ability to eat that much.

  3. Bluefin tuna has a more metallic taste than yellowfin, and deeper red in colour because of the blood (unless you got the fatty part, which you can see like a net structure in the flesh). Hope you enjoyed it!

  4. At my AYCE I can only eat about 10 nigiri and 3 rolls, and by that time my mouth is physically rejecting it 🙁

  5. I have grand plans every time I go for AYCE sushi, but 8–10 nigiri and maybe 6 little yellowtail maki is all I can manage. That tuna looks delicious.

  6. There’s an AYCE in Vacaville, CA (Fuji sushi I believe) that you can get 5-7 pieces of hamachi sashimi or nigiri by the 2 at a time, and you can just keep going, they also have hamachi cama. I miss that place so much.

  7. Sheesh, mercury poisoning is strong with you, idk if there is actually enough to cause acute symptoms but it’s definitely much more than I would be comfortable eating
