Conflict over Fukushima wastewater: China and Japan

1. Have there been any actually feasible proposals on how else to dispose of this stuff?

   Perhaps via antimatter annihilation?

2. Maybe I am missing something, but, what’s the point of releasing the wastewater in the first place?
   Can’t they simply reuse the same water over and over again? I am sure it gets even more radioactive but if it’s just for cooling the reactors it shouldn’t make a difference anyway.
   Anyone has more info on the subject?
