Where to get box fillers

Hi all,

Tried searching to no avail. As I’m moving houses, I’m currently packing my stuff into boxes for the big move. I’d like to ask people where you get your packing fillers (perhaps old newspapers) to keep plates safe for example. Any recommendations appreciated!

  1. This seems like a post about shopping, maybe your question is solved by [the wiki page](https://www.reddit.com/r/japanlife/wiki/shopping)?

  2. The moving company provides them, together with the boxes. If you need more, you just call them and ask for more.

When we moved from Kansai to Kanto a couple of years ago we went for the ultimate life hack of paying extra to have a team of pros come and pack everything. Ho. Lee. Shit. It was some of the best money we have ever spent. Four women showed up and packed the entire house the day before the trucks arrived. It was incredible, and we will without any question use that same service again when we move again.

  3. If you’re not using a moving company, any home center will sell big rolls of bubble wrap for about a thousand yen.

  4. I used my towels and clothes. They were coming with me anyway, so I just had them pull double duty.
