Omg I was legit just today catching up on some shows I’ve missed and during the 6/24 Ring of Honor (filmed during forbidden door weekend so it features some New Japan talent) Ian on commentary during Despy’s match said, “Desperado firmly in the heavyweight division now”. I was so confused but since I haven’t seen anything about that I assumed he just made a mistake (wouldn’t be the first time). I think if he were moving up the G1 would have been the perfect opportunity but who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯
