  1. The folks didnt even check the IP addreess before arresting him and during his dentention. That is the bare minimum to do in those cases

    Incompetence should have limits in this world

    Arrest first – figure out the crime…. later? Maybe?

    No wonder Ghosn jumped ship after *literal years* of that shit.

  3. And the kicker is, he’s entitled to a *maximum* of 12500 yen per day of detention, meaning he can potentially receive a whole 525,000 yen for his troubles.

    All he has to do is go through the hassle of explaining to his boss and/or clients, get his life back in order, and live with all of the trauma and potential stigma of being arrested for one-and-a-half months. Such a great deal.

    Get a complaint from a woman.
    Warn the person the victim thinks is culprit.
    Victim gets threatened.
    Arrest the guy,
    drag my feet for 42 days before I investigate anything.
    Refuse to elaborate.
