YouTube channel Tax advice

I’m moving to Japan next month on the instructor visa. The thing is, I have a small YouTube channel that I get a little bit of money from. It’s not much, and not even enough to tax in the US, but I still don’t want it to harm my visa or come back to bite me in the butt if I decide to stay in Japan for longer than a year. I do plan on still making videos while I’m in Japan.

Any advice or experiences about this??

Step one is finding out if you even legally ***can*** do this.

Your instructor visa doesn’t cover making youtube videos. Which means that in order to do this legally and above-board you will need to apply for permission from immigration to work outside your status of residence.
