Finished watching Dokuro chan s1 with Japanese subtitles. I feel like I understood most of it. Mined 80 anime cards from it, this was my first experience with mining so was kinda tough in the beginning, could barely handle watching it.
Got used to it, and watched the last episode in one sitting. Feels good, man.
Still think I’m N5, because no way would I be able to reproduce any of that myself
Got over social anxiety for a bit and had a conversation at the library just yesterday. I live in a place where there isn’t a huge Asian population — nevermind Japanese specifically — so I didn’t want to pass up the chance.
先週、「コンビニ人間」という本を読み終わりました。見事な本ですよ。
ITALKIの先生と一緒に、「できる日本語」という教科書も終わりました。
今週、読み続けている予定です。次の本は「掏摸」です。
I just added my last flashcard for RTK volume 1! It took me about five months, averaging around 20 new kanji a day on weekdays. I know this is just the beginning, but I feel like the impenetrable wall that is “kanji” is a lot less intimidating now.
The question is what now? My plan is to go through Genki for grammar and vocab. Does anyone who has done RTK for kanji have any advice on what they did next that they would recommend?
