Hi everyone, I know there is a Japan travel sub, but I am looking for other Moms with kids living in Japan who would want to be travel buddies with my kid and I to go places outside of Japan.
My husband is a very typical Japanese salaryman and the mere mention of asking him to take a week or so off work to come travel with me and our son puts him into full panic mode. All of my other Mom friends are Japanese and seem to be very adverse to the idea of leaving their husbands for a week to come traveling, so here I am.
Now that COVID restrictions have eased and it’s safer to travel, I am chomping at the bit to take my kid to Australia, Thailand, Vietnam etc. But to be honest I don’t feel super comfortable going with just the two of us (and it would be nice to have some adult conversation) and thought I might see if there are any other Moms in the same boat.
For info my kiddo is 6 years old and I am 41, originally from the US.
