  1. Hi, I was wondering about this:

    > 今でも、何かの仕事転々としてるのか?

    Context: A pickpocket meets an old acquaintance and I think they are talking about the old days.

    I think this might mean, “Nowadays, are you still changing jobs?” But I thought 何か is an adverb so IDK how it gets the の particle.

    More Context:

    > 「確かに、俺は上手くなんかないよ。元々中学ん時の万引きの延長で、遊びでやってただ けだから。……お前や石川みたいにできない。お前がスって石川に渡して、奴が中身だけ抜いて、また持ち主のポケットに戻す。……しかも、三分の二だけ抜く んだ。これじゃ、やられた奴は気づかないし、気づいても通報できない。役割分担だって、位置で交互にかえる。目だけで合図する……、俺は見てるだけだった よ。でも今時、スリをやる日本人なんていない。今でも、何かの仕事転々としてるのか? 副業なら、前みたいに空き巣のプログループとか、売人してた方がい いじゃないか。とうとうスリが本業かよ」

    CONTEXT: I let my friend borrow my brother’s car after seeing my friend’s desperation

    これお兄さんの一番高い車真剣に走って?

    My intention: ” This is my brother’s most expensive car, can you please drive it carefully? “
