As a Canadian Living in Japan, does anyone have any experience with moving money through Wise from your Canadian bank account to Japan? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Never been to a japanese fireworks festival before, and I want to go to the Edogawa festival in a few weeks. Anyone have any tips for first timers? Do you go to the stalls before or after the fireworks? Should I get a tarp for just 2 people or find some other seating? How much earlier do I need to go?

How long does mnp transfer take? Switching to rakuten from line mobile. I started the mnp transfer before purchasing to get the number ready. Did this past business hours last night so thought it’d be completed by 10 today but rakuten still says nothing. Rakuten also has a button to send me to line mobile site but since I already applied for mnp line says it can’t? I’ll keep waiting but…

How do I maximize my rakuten points? Any tips?
I already have a rakuten credit card, rakuten mobile and I also use rakuten pay. I try to pay for all my expenses with the card or rakuten pay, but I don’t spend that much overall so don’t get that many points.
I’ve got a flight from Narita Terminal 2, but I want to enter security through Terminal 1. Has anyone ever had luck doing something like this? Last month I had a flight from 3 and wanted to enter through 2, but they wouldn’t let me.
Alternatively, does anyone know if I could enter 2, take the bus to 1, and go back to 2 without re-doing security?
I checked the website and although I’m a pretty seasoned traveler, I’m kind of confused by it.

I’d prefer something with 3 speeds, rotation option, compact and easy to store (i.e. tower or tabletop fan), and not too loud…but honestly, as long as the highest speed is strong, it’ll run without issue for 8-12 hours a day, and it’s not gonna break in two months, I don’t care. It’s too damn hot.

It has the kind of funky smell that happens when you leave finished laundry in the washing machine too long and/or put laundry away before it’s fully dry, but I *never* do either of those things, and nothing I wash with it ever stinks.

In the US, I often used window cleaning solution (windex) to place stickers on lego sets. Spraying it on the brick before applying gives you a moment to slide and correct any mistakes.
Anyone know if this works with Japanese window cleaning solution as well?
I have a Japanese spousal visa and U.S. citizenship and am trying to earn extra money while still getting to be home to jump in to help with my newborn as necessary. There are several remote jobs I’m qualified for (American companies), and I would like to apply. There are no legal issues with this, correct? My spousal visa allows me to work in Japan and I would report the income on my taxes (though I’m not sure how to translate the W2 information to my Japanese tax documents).
Does this sound good or am I overlooking something?
