Will be with significant other traveling to Japan end of June to early Aug. Have a few questions regarding Universal Studios Japan, would like to go on a thursday and use the express pass, is it possible to get the express pass at the gate or is there an alternative to that? Looking at the routes below, we wouldn’t really need JR Rail pass? As we will only need the shinkansen from after kyoto to tokyo, all other public transportation can be done via Suica/Pasmo?
Will be in Osaka for 7 Days doing the Aquarium, dotonbori, universal studios japan if we can get express pass.
Day 1-2, exploring around dotonbori, aquarium, Osaka for gyukatsu, yakiniku, anything specific to that region.
Day 3, Universtal Studios hopefully if we can get the express pass
Day 4-7, more exploring around Osaka, possibly day trip over to Nara and local spots around there.
Day 7-10 will be Kyoto, exploring the traditional areas and local foods. Not really into the shrine but along the route if there are any with a short walk, that is ok also.
Day 10-16 will be Tokyo for the remaining. Exploring the local wards and want to make a trip out to Mt Fuji, renting a car to do so. Any specific routes to have a great view of Mt. Fuji from Minato City. Would also like to do any local car scene stuff, maybe a car meet or shops. Hope this info helps and get some great ideas from the community.
