I like my choco chip cookies chewy. I’ve tried Country Mum (カントリーマーム) and they’re pretty good. So just curious if there are other brands I should try.

I was using Mobal as my mobile phone carrier for the last year or so. I saw that Ahamo was highly recommended in several threads so I signed up to give it a try.
The 4G speeds I’m getting are more than 4x slower than what I had with Mobal (about 30Mbps in central Tokyo). Is this normal? If so it doesn’t seem worth it to me.

Does it matter how a foreign name is registered in katakana on official documents? For example, can the name Jim be ジンinstead of ジム? Not really a fan when it is pronounced as ジム.
Just got an AEON / Waon credit card. Do I get waon points even if I use the credit card part of it? Or do I need to charge it with money and use it as a Waon card for the sake of waon points?

Anybody ever renew their driving license on a tourist visa? My friend is asking me to check with the license center (I’ll call them tomorrow) as his company sent him overseas for a few years so he doesn’t have a residence permit anymore, but he wants to keep his Japanese license (gold) and needs to renew pretty soon. Luck will have it he’ll come back for a visit soon, but now I’m tasked with finding out if Tokyo or Kanagawa license centers will allow that (apparently you can do it at the Okinawa one).
