  1. Stress has built up a bit this week and I started to cry in one of my classes on Saturday. Canceled my Sunday plans so that I could reset mentally. Yesterday I just cleaned, watched To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar for the first time, and napped. It was great.

    Today I’m seeing 君たちはどう生きるか!

  2. Picked my first batch of edamame on Saturday. Fresh ones taste soooo much better. Got a bit over 1kg of them. Spent yesterday preparing them for freezing.

We have cucumbers coming out the ears so checked new ways to use them. Found an easy recipe for cucumber sorbet. Made some – amazing! Will try adding mint next time.

Went to Nagoya aquarium. Daughter loved the little fish, and baby loved the tropical area. Was good fun.

  3. Had my first Reddit stalker who hated my comment, followed me to another subreddit. Posted stuff and then blocked me.

Had a good chuckle – person that is out there, I do hope you take it easy!

  4. Went to the in-laws for Obon. It’s been a while since we all got together, so it was nice to see everyone.

Had a really nice barbecue in the garden to cap it off.

  5. Inlaws visited, lots of fun. Went to a festival nearby, even more fun, kids loved the petting zoo, etc. Wore them both out so much they slept all afternoon.

  6. I wonder how many people got heatstroke today from the Gion Matsuri. I had to repeatedly stop using my phone every few seconds cause it was giving me heat danger warnings from the sun.

  7. Went to Kagoshima with a friend! Very nice city, I feel bad that I hadn’t actually ever been before aside from transferring to the shinkansen. Definitely want to go again, maybe in a few months when I can stand being outside a little longer and the sun doesn’t want to kill me during most of my normal waking hours.

  8. made meager progress with my studies for a test on Wednesday, pledged 1000 yen to the Nippon Animation and Film Culture Association, get drenched in the rain while doing groceries

    life is fine
