They’ve been making pretty substantial price increases over the last year or so. [See here](https://www.jiji.com/jc/article?k=2022093001160&g=eco), for example.
It’s due to the deflating yen, overseas production cost increases, and increasing shipping costs.
I bought a fan today and paid way more than I thought I would need to lol
