Hi everyone! First time poster but longtime lurker in this sub. Would like your thoughts on our itinerary for our upcoming trip this November. My wife and I are more of foodies, so we’re not looking much on going around all the shrines but rather eating good (but not too expensive) food around Japan. We’ll be getting the 14-Day JR pass, but activating it in on Day 2. This will be our second time going to Japan together, but our first to go outside of Tokyo
**Day 1** Tokyo (staying at shinjuku)
Arrival Narita around 12nn
Drop-off luggage at hotel, Lunch at Isomaru Suisan
Artnia (to look at merch, not to dine) + Tokyo Metropolitan Building for the views
Possible dinner at Osusumeya Izakaya
**Day 2** Tokyo
Yoyogi park in the morning then head to tsukiji for brunch/lunch
Going to hekkelun for dessert (purin!)
Imperial Palace + Tokyo tower
Roppongi illumination + dinner possibly at tendon kanekoya akasaka
**Day 3** Tokyo
Sugamo Jizodori
Possible breakfast at Onigiri Bongo if the line isn’t crazy
Train to Animate ikebukuro, sunshine city and poke center
Back to shinjuku and wander around. Possible dinner at omoide yokocho
**Day 4** Day trip to Lake Kawaguchiko area
Mt. Kachikachi Ropeway to Tenjoyama Park and explore
Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center, lunch at hoto noodle place nearby, go to momiji tunnel
Cross Kawaguchiko-ohashi bridge
Snacks at Cheesecake garden
Back to Shinjuku, just relax and chill and dinner wherever
**Day 5** Tokyo – Hamamatsu
Rest in the morning, do laundry as needed
Shinkansen to Hamamatsu (ekiben lunch)
Check-in hotel, explore nearby area
Catch the sunset at bentenjima seaside park
Dinner at Hamataro Gyoza
Chill night
**Day 6** Hamamatsu
Musical instrument museum, Kanzanji ropeway, kanzan-ji temple
Lunch at Kanzanjien
Hamamatsu flower park/kanzanji park, unagi pie factory
travel back to hotel, dinner nearby (considering Kani Douraku)
**Day 7-8** Nagoya
We have not really planned this part of the trip yet, but these are a few places we were thinking of going to:

Yanagibashi Fish Market
Nagoya Castle
**Day 9** Nagoya – Kyoto
Travel and check-in at hotel
Relax in hotel onsen

**Day 10** Kyoto
Bfast at hotel
Gion Shopping Street
Lunch at Nishiki market
Pokemon center kyoto
Explore Arashiyama
Explore Kiyamichi street and find someplace for dinner
**Day 11** Day trip to Miyajima/Hiroshima
Lunch at Kakiya
momijido (momiji manju)
Itsukushima Jinja Otorii (Grand Torii Gate)
Itsukushima Jinja Senjokaku Pavilion
Hiroshima memorial museum
Pokemon center hiroshima
Dinner at okonomimura
Back to Kyoto
**Day 12-14** Osaka
As with Nagoya, we haven’t planned this part out yet but these are where we’re going:
Denden town
Kuromon market
Day trip to Nara park
**Day 15** Osaka – Tokyo
Kappabashi
Last minute shopping
**Day 16**
Last minute shopping, look around Tokyo Station
Flight out of narita.
