Sorry if this has been discussed. I searched but found nothing. I’m looking for some cold medication to help my kid sleep. A 2 year old but the 8 month old will probably catch it soon too.

It’s probably better to talk to their pediatrician. They can prescribe something proper for their age and it’ll be cheaper.
Bufferin makes a cold medicine syrup for kids. Seems to work pretty well for our 18 month old.
Bufferin Cold medicine. My son is ill too with fever for the past days now that comes and goes and he fell in a deep sleep yesterday after his dose of Bufferin.
And yes, as others have said, bufferin syrup is pretty decent… except there are so many kinds: for cough, for runny nose, etc. etc. and the obligatory forehead stickers for fever.
Mostly what you’re looking for is ibuprofen for children, while the OTC syrups are loaded with a bunch of ingredients, and reading the fine print takes a while. But they do work. My 2c if the child doesn’t recover within 24h, then off to see a doctor.
