Hello! Wondering if Asakusa / Motoasakusa is a good area to live in, I don’t know much about it. It’s a little far from places like Shibuya, Nakameguro, etc, where most of the nice cafes and shops are (that I know).
I’m a freelance designer so ideally I’d like to live somewhere quieter, and where I’m close to coffee shops for work, and more creative spots like art galleries, design shops, etc.
Appreciate any thoughts!

There’s tonnes of nice cafes in the shitamachi areas, and more moving in as prices in those trendier areas rise. It’s a bit of an older vibe, but it’s not lacking. For galleries, there’s a whole whack of independent galleries between Nishi-Nippori and Ueno.
