Im on the humanities visa (5 years) and doing job hunting. Thinking of going back to visit my parents for around 3 weeks before starting my new job but I’m not sure about procedures.
Didn’t think much about it first before a friend asked whether I’d be okay returning to Japan since I would technically still be unemployed then.
Anyone has any experience with this?

Unless you’re collecting unemployment and the date of your next appointment at hello work is within those 3 weeks, I don’t see an issue.
I did this twice, never had any problem.
