My Neighbor Totoro and all the other Ghibli movies are available in manga format digitally. I recommend My Neighbor Totoro for N3 level learners and N4 looking for a small challenge!

As far as E-ink readers go, I recently purchased a kindle scribe and it’s fantastic for manga and regular Japanese ebooks. It’s big enough it’s no problem to read the text without zooming in. I highly recommend it. It can also be used to take notes in spiral notebooks and annotate pdfs you send to it. If you are savvy enough to convert your JLPT and Japanese textbooks to pdf, it’s very easy to send them to you kindle and then annotate the tests and quizzes to your hearts content.
