This post might be a bit repetitive but I really need some help here.
I’m a Pakistani student and about to start my last year of A levels meaning I’ll have to apply for Universities soon. Now for the longest time my goal had been to apply for the MEXT scholarship and go to Japan, however I’m beginning to get second thoughts after reading people’s comments and stuff regarding studying/living in Japan. The two main issues I’ve come across are that there’s quite a bit of racism and studying in Japan isn’t worth it if you don’t plan to work in Japan.
Here are a couple of things that might help you all:
I don’t plan to live or work in Japan after graduation
I’m a CS student and want to pursue CS in the future as well however MEXT scholarship doesn’t provide an option for a CS degree so I’m considering choosing Maths or Physics
So please help me out with this and if you all have studied or lived in Japan please tell me about your experience
Thanks!
EDIT: I’ve scoured through the sub and haven’t gotten a satisfying answer regarding racism especially towards brown people, so if someone could enlighten me I’d be really grateful
