itinerary review please…..

Travelling to the beautiful country on September and staying for 11 days. Packed itinerary so hoping for some advice on what to PRIORITIZE. Thanks in advance.

Day 1: arrival Narita. 2 pm. Going to Kyoto asap. Possible arrival 7 pm. Staying near kyoto station. Any dinner suggestion?

Day 2: Arashiyama bamboo

Philosopher’s path

Day 3: Fushimi Inari

Lunch?????
Ueno: park/ temple

  1. Fushimi Inari actually pairs better with Nara, as they’re in the same general direction from Kyoto (south). I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying for Day 4, but if you’re switching hotels, there’s really no need. You can easily do Osaka (day 5) as another day trip from Kyoto.

  2. Google map is your friend jus to understand the general direction and district of the places to avoid unnecessary transit and backtracking.

    * Day 2 is super unrealistic and philosopher’s path and gingakuji is on the opposite side of Kyoto as arashiyama, closer to yasaka and kiyomizudera.

    * Day 5 Nara for morning only is ok if you only plan to take a few photos with the deers and leave
