Getting out of English teaching success stories?

I’m in a situation where I’m almost stuck. I get paid ¥350k a month which I feel is barely livable considering I support a family, mortgage and all that. I want to make more money as I’m pretty much at the max what my company offers since I’m a manager and there isn’t anywhere else to move up to.

I’m studying Japanese and can have basic conversations (bought my car using Japanese as well as most of my mortgage stuff at the bank was in Japanese) but I’m definitely not N2 or even N3

I’ve been learning some programming skills as well but I’m curious as what other teachers have done to get out of teaching.

I’d totally make my own school my I’d have to go in with zero students and into a town that I’m surprised already has a ton of schools fighting over what few students want to study English.
