Pension Withdrawal questions

Hello everyone, I’m starting to gather my pension withdrawal paperwork as I am leaving next month and a few questions came up that I hope someone here has answers to. Thank you all in advance!

1.) I’m an American citizen and hoping to get the pension withdrawal payment sent to my Charles Schwab bank account. The supporting documents section asks for either a “bank stamp for verification” or document verifying the bank name, branch name, branch location, account number, and account holder name. A typical bank statement has the bank name, my name and my bank account number, but no branch name or location. Do I have to physically go into a branch in the US and ask for a bank manager to sign or stamp a statement? I also read that someone used a voided check to satisfy this category. What works and what doesn’t?

2.) I read that I can turn in all the paperwork before I leave Japan if I submit a Move-out Notification (住民票の除票). Does anyone have experience or advice going about it this way? Some threads on reddit made it seem like an impossible process. True?

Appreciate any tips and advice. Thank you.
