Hanging pictures on concrete walls

I’ve just moved to a new apartment after a long time, and apparently almost all flat walls are concrete. I’ve tried a bunch of things, like [concrete nails](https://amzn.asia/d/aQKL9fL) or [adhesives](https://amzn.asia/d/8ff0Tf0), but no luck. Adhesives don’t stick well to the walpaper, and nails just bend as soon as they reach the concrete after the 3mm of plaster. I’ve done some visible damage to the wall, and still no dice. At this point I’m thinking of just biting the bullet (get used to the idea that I’ll pay for the damages when I move out) and just get the job done somehow. I’m just not sure if going bigger is a good idea. A drill won’t work, and I’m hesitant to use a hammer drill.

I’ve managed to use one of [these](https://amzn.asia/d/ipbsGXe) in the false ceiling, but it didn’t go in too well positioned too close to the ceiling line.

At the old place I’ve had rails, so the only option I can think of is to ask the owner to allow me to install a couple of those.

Any advice?

  1. It might be too late, but in Japan, if you drill holes in the walls of an apartment without the landlord’s permission, you can have your 敷金shikikin confiscated or be billed for repair costs.
