  1. Yup, the card should work worldwide, wherever you got it. I have successfully used a Japanese card in Hawaii. If I remember correctly, you can’t bring bonus points from one country to another though.

  2. Yes you can. I had issues scanning it at Costco fuel stations though, but an attendant can register it manually to get you going,

    Yes you can but often the checkout cashier gets flummoxed by the idea of a Japanese Costco card. Just tell the cashier to, “enter the Mexico code.”

    That is, you need to inform the cashier that you have an international card and they need input a special code to use your card. {I think the cashier has to enter the number ” **7** ” or ” **/7** “.}

  4. Yep you can use it worldwide. What I was told is you can’t *renew* a membership overseas but you can *use* it as long as it’s valid.

  5. Yes you can. Just let the cashier know your card is from Japan, so they can push a button on register and do the sale. We went to the Honolulu location last fall and after scanning, the worker asked if our card was from Costco Japan. Then she just did something on the register and continued with our sale.

  6. In my experience it just won’t work at the gas pump but I just show my card and the clerk will punch in a code for me to fill up.
