What time of the day do Eikaiwa and dispatch companies tend to interview?

I’m a teacher in South Korea and work Monday to Friday. Schools tend to be very negative about taking time off for anything here, so I’d struggle to make online interviews not in the evening on weekdays or at the weekends. Do Japanese schools ever interview in evenings/ weekends (Japan Standard Time)? I suppose if not, I’d have to call in sick…

Thanks!

  1. Usually they email with a few options for interview times, and if none suit you could always ask for a different time. Many small eikaiwa are open at least in the early evening, and any chain eikaiwa or dispatch will be used to interviewing at all times of the day with interviewees all over the world.

  2. From my experience they tend to interview during working hours and some at short notice. But usually it is during US time for me and after my work day which ends at 5.
