My wife never had a great history with school. After we got married and she moved to the US she started attending college as one of her dreams. She has worked incredibly hard, not only in her courses but also in a language still foreign to her.
Today we received a notice from her school that she’s been selected for the Presidents List(3.8-4.0 graduating GPA). I am so proud of her, but she seems to think this is a normal occurrence and that many people are accepted for this. I am having a hard time finding anything equivalent to this in Japanese or if Japanese universities even have something like this.
I would also like to share this with her parents and would like to know the Kanji for something similar so she and they know that it’s an accomplishment to be proud of.
