Applying to Japanese Universities While Residing outside of Japan or University preparatory curriculum?

Hello! I am fluent in japanese (around N1) and I’m around 17 right now but will probably be 18 when i graduate high school and go to japan
I need some advice and opinions about what to do about my current situation. I recently attempted the EJU in India with all the subjects in japanese and got my result and scored decenty on on it. I’m planning on studying Economics/Business or computer science or maybe some other field in which it’s easy to find a good job But I’m not really super sure about what I’ll major in.
I was considering going to university in japan for a japanese program but the whole process seems very convuluted especially if you’re residing outside of japan. Is it Better go to a university preparatory curriculum langauge school and officially prepare for the EJU and then apply to a Japanese Universities While residing in japan or is it still possible to apply directly to universities outside of japan?.I would appreciate if u could give me recommendations for Japanese Universities or University preparatory language schools?
Or is it a better idea to drop the whole Study in japan idea and go to Canada/UK/USA. I like japan and would eventually love to move here but I’ve heard some negative stories online about foreigners going through japanese university school life so I’m not really sure and having second thoughts.
Please help
