departing jet paycheck question

question.. do we get paid for the current month IN the current month? Or the following month?

like, will i get Julys paycheck in august? My boe said when i get paid in july that that would be it for my paychecks. they didnt mention it would be double or more. they just said when i get pad regularly in july thats that. Is that right???

im a 6th year about to start a new job at the end of my contract, but im worried about not having a paycheck between August 1st and when my next job sends my my first paycheck (i think at the end of september, for august work)

  1. This is not a question anyone in this sub can answer. Ask the appropriate questions to the department that pays you. Only your employer knows how they will handle your pay.

  2. Typically, in schools in Japan, you are paid for the month you are currently in. Eg. Being paid in July is your pay for the month of July. There are always variations between how different BOEs handle it but look back to see how you were paid when you first arrived. Were you paid in the month you arrived or the following month? Was that payment a regular payment or a double payment? Use that info and work forward to see how they are handling it.

  3. Talk to your BoE about this. As we are not from your BoE, we can’t give you a definite answer.

    Well, other than “ESID.”

  4. Literally just went through this process in April

    ESID but probably-

You get paid for the month you are in (For me, it looks like this March 1st~30th pay is paid on the 21st ). I confirmed this like a million times cause to me it was weird that we get paid for days we haven’t technically worked yet, but that is the system.

I started my new job in April and didn’t receive any pay check in April.

For me, from March 21st to May 10th I got no pay check. Things were tight af
