  1. This is like a 14 day trip. 7 days is really rushed. I would’ve stuck with Osaka or Tokyo area for just 7 days but since you already seemed to book your flight in one city and out the other then there’s nothing that can help.

JR pass would almost certainly not be worth it in your case as you’re only doing a one way shinkansen ride.

    1. Best to probably stay in a hotel in Osaka or Kyoto and take a day trip to the other city rather than staying a night in each one. Less moving around = more time. Probably should cut out Nara as that’s going to be too much. Add that day back into Kyoto.

    2. Day 5 seems really ambitious between going to the sky tree, Akiba, Nakano, and Shinjuku (robot restaurant is closed no?)

    3. Do you like medium to high end fashion? Ginza is kinda meh for shopping imho.

    4. Universal studios is in Osaka not Tokyo so that won’t be an option on your day 6. But again you have such limited time, you should probably skip going to a theme park and add that day to Osaka, Kyoto, or Tokyo. I’m all for visiting the themeparks in this sub. A lot of people hate it because “ohhh why go to Japan and see a theme park rahhhh rahhh rahhh” but honestly to each their own if they have the time. You frankly don’t have the time.
