Freelance job starting to make more than my full time job. Am i going to be fine or..

I work as a multi-lingual social media manager in one of the big companies here in tokyo. I also have social media account where i do animations largely for western audiences.

The problem is that my social media account is likely looking to make way more than what i make from my salary working at my company. I hear that this could become a problem with immigration?

FYI when I initially joined the company, I made sure i was allowed to do my freelance work with immigration and my job. I also do keep my hours under 28hours as my upload schedule is around once every month or so.

The sponsors that i work with are all american companies so quitting my job and changing to freelance doesn’t seem like an option.

I hear that immigration doesn’t like it if you make more money in freelance than you do in your full time job as they want you to dedicate most of your productivity to the Japanese corporations that you work for (which is what the whole point of attracting immigration to live in Japan).

Anyone have experience with this scenario? If it does become a problem, how should i approach this issue?
