  1. The way Kidd wrestles and carries himself, he really is Shibata’s “true” son, imo; more specifically, he’s so much like young Shibata, who was such a disrespectful dickhead to both his peers (Tanahashi, Nakamura) and legends of Puro (Akiyama, Kawada, Tenryu) and Shibata’s early nickname was even “Mad Dog” before he was the “Wrestler”.

Kidd has been a standout of this tournament no doubt.

  2. This was wild. I was surprised when the fans started cheering for Gabe for beating up on Kaito, even when they were cheering the man the other night in Korakuen.

  3. This match was so much fun, for such a little lad Kaitos got great fire when brawling and Gabe is amazing too

  4. G1 really took off since yesterday’s matches. Loving all the young guys beating the hell out of each other.

  5. That match was fucking fantastic. I’ll be watching that one back after work today I think.

I’d certainly like to see more interactions between gabe and Kiyomiya. Kiyomiya actually might well be the mvp of the g1

  6. I was going to say how much Kidd reminds me of early Shibata but i’m late.

So i’ll say I haven’t felt this genuine fear of things getting heavy and aggressive ever since I went back to see Stan Hansen’s matches… and I love it, Gabe is a start to me, my dawg for real.

  7. He is I believe one of the few reasons why I’m glad they expanded the G1. Most likely before he would have not made it. But man he has made a bigger name for himself in such a small amount of time!

  8. Kidd has the dawg in him. Great guy. Kaito is what NJPW wish the reiwa musketeers were. He really is Him. I get why He is the future of Noah, and If Noah dont see it, NJPW needs to do everything to tap him up.
