RResidents in Japan

Expecting a package but will be out of Japan for 2 weeks, what do I do?

So I’m going to be out of Japan starting Monday, and I ordered smth that would incur customs fees I think. Will they deliver it to my apartment delivery box or hold it in their office? Sagawa is the courier.

  1. Do you have the delivery code? You might be able to schedule a delivery date yourself either online or call them up.

  2. They’ll probably leave a note in your mailbox saying you need to call them, or just call them and explain you’ll be out and to send it to your local combini if they can take it. Sometimes when I’m out of the house I ask them to send it to my local 7/11 and when I return I pick it up.
