Canadian Parents in Japan: Do your kids say “Eh”?

Canadian parent here, raising two kids who were born and raised here in Japan.

Earlier this week, I overheard my 7yr old son talking to his little sister and for the first time ever I heard him say “eh”. He used it in the correct context, with the correct elocution and everything. “That is how you do it, eh.” were his exact words.

This just floored me. He knows the ways of my people, despite being raised so far away and never having held a hockey stick or learned what -30 degrees feels like.

Any other Canadian parents here reached this milestone?
