So a bit of a context to the question, I’m currently studying in a Japanese school in Tokyo with goal of taking N1 on July next year as a part of my company’s requirements. My company currently pays for my school tuition fee but it only applies for 2 years and at the end I’m expected to be able to pass JLPT N1.
Problem with my current school, they don’t have clear structure and keep changing it every 3 or 6 months. Not to mention they often hire new teachers so I often got stuck with a bad teacher for one term. In the beginning I have told them about the N1 goal and they said it was possible. Now seeing how things go for almost a year, I don’t really think they could finish N1 level by next year. Plus, no curriculum is provided so I’m starting to lose my trust.
Since the contract renewal is scheduled to happen this October, I’m planning to look into other schools and see which one suits my need. I’m currently on transition between N3 and N2 and pretty confident about taking N2 this December. However, not so sure about N1 since the gap seems to be pretty huge.
I’d appreciate if anyone has experience or ever heard of any schools that provides clear and well-structured curriculum at any level. Weekday morning class works best for me, but if there are any part-time classes that focus on JLPT milestones , that would be great too.
