  1. Is Tae Kim’s Website broken?

The chapter legends disappeared and it is basically impossible to properly navigate through the chapters now. You basically have to start at the very beginning and manually advance section by section without any implication of how deep you are in or which chapters there are at all.

Does anyone know what to do about it or if it is getting fixed?

  2. I can’t find any information on this grammar and it’s really frustrating, or all the grammar explanations don’t work in the way the sentence is intended to translate as.

Noun + の + ところに. Online stated to be “at the time, just as I was ~”

However, the statement 怪物のところに行こう translates as “Lets go to the monster.” No grammar explanations for Noun + の + ところに indicate it to mean anything in the translation.

In fact, why would this story i’m reading not just use the statement “怪物を行こう.” Would it not work the same way with the same intended message?

  3. Is this sentence writtten correctly? Any tips on making this sound more natural is very much appreciated 🙂

CONTEXT: I`m a worried mom talking with my husband about our son Tom.

    三週間トムはたくさん菓子を食べながら部屋にいるのが変の? トムの健康は心配している、どうする?

My Intention: “Isn’t it weird that Tom has been eating a lot of candy while in his room for the past 3 weeks? I`m worried about his health, what do we do? “

  5. I’m about to start doing TheMoeWay Tango N5 deck, along with the Cure Dolly grammar guide, and I’d like to know when to start the deck.

It says to do both, but I’d have to do Anki every day to keep up, and I’m worried I might just straight up miss something important.

  6. Can とおっしゃる be used as a direct replacement for という?

    i.e. “情報を得たいとおっしゃっていたので”
