Itinerary Check (Kawaguchiko)

Hi all! Will be going to Tokyo this September for a week-ish. We wanted to go to Fuji area and spend a few days (maybe 3 days). Just wanted to check with you guys if this itinerary would make sense/doable. Will be using public transpo (trains/buses) all throughout:

5 Sept
– [ ] Tokyo to Kawaguchiko (leave bags at hotel near Kawaguchiko stn)
– [ ] Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
– [ ] Tenjoyama Park
– [ ] Lake Yamanaka
– [ ] Yagisaki Park (optional)

6 Sept
– [ ] Chureito Pagoda
– [ ] Arakura Sengen Park
– [ ] Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
– [ ] Shimoyoshida

7 Sept
– [ ] Nagasaki Park
– [ ] Oishi Park
– [ ] Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba

8 Sept
– [ ] Go back to Tokyo

I understand Lake Yamanaka is not accessible via bus? Would going to the nearest station then walking/biking there be feasible then?

Would also appreciate getting some recommendations re: other places of interest! We really just want find some places overlooking Mt Fuji. We have a really light sched in Tokyo so we’re fine with a lot of walking in Kawaguchiko.

Also wanted to check if we should spare a day to go to Hakone? I’ve been to Owakudani and Lake Ashi before, but if there are other good places worth visiting then we can add another day.

Thank you very much in advance❤️
