After doing some research, I’ve read that MUFG can be pretty strict when it comes to foreigners (heard stories of people getting rejected because their Japanese wasn’t perfect, and even getting interviewed).
Has anybody here had to deal with any of that? My Japanese isn’t that good, but not terrible either. Probably N3 level, or at best between N2 and N3. Not sure if that would be good enough for them.
I also heard that there’s a way to open an account online to potentially avoid any of that but upon looking on their website, it says, “国内に居住し、日本国籍の方” as a requirement, so.. probably not a good idea to try online. What has been your experience with MUFG?
