Sharehouse experiences/recommendations

Hello,

Im a 19 year old guy that just finished school and will live in Japan(Tokyo) for a Year starting at the end of september. I will visit Japan on a working holiday visum and my language school is located at shinjuku.

I am currently searching for Sharehouses that are clean, friendly and maximum 30mins away from my school. I have already made myself a powerpoint, documenting every Agency and their respective sharhouses which i could imagine living in.

My question for you is if anyone can recommend me a sharehouse/agency. My budget is up to 80k a month including common service fee etc. and im okey with big houses and maybe even prefer it if theres 10+ people as i will need to make friends somehow :D.

I have already searched trough Borderless House, Be good Japan, Interwaho (which i do not like), Oak house and Xsomething which was really bad, and lastly coverture which i am currently ispecting and i quite like it.

PS: i hope my consulate will permit me my visa without having found a permanent residence :O And if anyone is interested in meeting up in Tokyo or wants to chat just dm me or comment your insta i can add you to a group i made.

Thanks

  2. Always look for medium sized sharehouse companies with foreign managers (not just young foreign marketing assistants who do nothing but spam social media). Freshroom is one such company, but they are usually full.

Also, when contacting each of the companies always ask them how many days per week a professional cleaner will clean the common areas (toilets, shower rooms, etc.) and how this translates to hours worked per week per resident.

  3. Your school may have some recommended resources on this. I know Waseda partners with some specific sharehouses to provide overflow housing once dorms are full
