**Question about health insurance when moving to Japan on a WHV**
Do you need travellers medical insurance to gain entry into Japan? Or do you just apply for National health insurance when you arrive? Moving to there from Canada

You apply for NHI when you arrive. I believe it’s all part of the process when you go to your city hall and register your address and apply for a My Number card.
