Homemade sushi night


Tried some visually pleasing sushi tonight, I’ve just been making a handful of times a year for the past 10 years for friends and family.
Fish: albacore, ahimsa, smoked sockeye
I colored the rice with turmeric, blueberry and matcha
And those are shiso juices and leaves are garnish.

  1. Is there a name for the square shaped sushi pieces? I haven’t seen that before and it looks really awesome.

  2. Those squares look really cool, but they look too big to take in one bite and probably fall apart after the first bite
