  1. [Yamakiya (やまき屋)](https://youtu.be/c7YRkJ4HMGQ) is a family run ramen shop close to the beaches of Enoshima, basically next to Kugenuma-Kaigan station. The shop serves a variety of ramen, made with both chicken and pork base broths, but all of them with a dried fish element consisting of niboshi and various bushi.

For people who visit Yamakiya for the first time, the very friendly owners recommended their shoyu ramen with a tonkotsu-seafood broth base. Other options include tsukemen, mazesoba and regularly changing specials, such as cold ramen dishes in summer.

Yamakiya gets their ramen noodles from Mikawaya Seimen, which is a top ramen noodles supplier. Naturally, the noodles are excellent and fit the more home style of ramen bowls that is served at this ramen shop.

The shop itself fits perfectly into the area, which has a great mix of super old, family run shops and restaurants, as well as new and hip businesses, which aim more for the surfer clientele that inhabits and visits the area.
