Hello, I am planning a move to Tokyo in a few years. One of my favorite hobbies is to go on longer bike rides, usually from the center of the city where I live to the outskirts, where there are parks and more natural areas.
My question is, how good is the infrastructure for doing this in Tokyo and the surrounding areas? Can you bike to Chiba or Yokohama (for example) fairly easily, or will it be on the side of a highway? Everything I find when googling “biking in Tokyo” gives me stuff about commuting or riding around the city, which is not really what I mean.
