Is frequent job changing is bad in japan?

Currently i am in my 4th company in japan since 2019.
I am planning to apply for citizenship (naturalization) on next year (after completing 5 years)
if i change job again go to 5th company, will it affect in my citizenship process?

  1. I was thinking about this as well. I’m tired of this unwavering structure of part raises and the only way to get a proper raise is by changing jobs, ergo, your question

  2. I always get one year visa extensions because quote “you change jobs too much”
so yeah they will just treat you as someone who is not able to have a stable lifestyle i guess. It sucks.
Just give better options i might not quit so often.

  3. Job hoping it’s frowned upon here. Many company will flat out reject you for this, regardless of your qualifications. Why invest in someone who will be gone in less than a year?

  4. One job per year may be too much. But I don’t have any issue jumping ship every 1.5~2 years. I wouldn’t make anywhere close to what I’m making now if I stayed with the same company too. Some companies might reject me because of this, but their loss, not mine, and there are plenty other fishes in the sea.
