Certificate of employment for language school application

I’m applying for a language school in Osaka this coming September and right now I’m having a lot of trouble trying to get a verification of employment letter from my current job and no matter who I ask I can’t find a solution to get one.

Since I’m having trouble obtaining one I was wondering if “certificate of employment” on the application guide refers to specifically a letter or are other documents like paystubs valid? And do you need verification for every job you’ve worked or is just your current one fine?

I intend on emailing the school I’m applying to but it seems like theyre really vague about specific application questions and basically tell you to wait until applications open to worry about it, but I’d like to get as many of my documents together now than later especially since they want them translated. Thank you

  2. I submitted tax documents and current paystubs along with the offer letter for my job in lieu of a letter for verification. This was back in April/May and I am still waiting (should be another couple weeks), but I haven’t been asked for any additional documents for verification at least.

So, I unfortunately can’t say for sure that it works, but it looks good for me so far. Best of luck with your application and I hope it works out for you!

  3. At my company, I asked HR to write a letter stating that I (ful name) worked there, my current position, and current salary. HR signed it. I sent that with the COE application.

What trouble is your current job giving you? Because I didn’t want them to know I was planning to leave, I told them I needed it to apply for new apartments (some of the ones here do actually require it).
