Would love some recommendations for those days and also if we should switch out anything or add anything for the other days.

Thank you for your help!

  1. Day 3, Harajuku is kind of odd, really not in the same area.

    Day 4, cream puff place open at 10:30, no way you are in Osaka for lunch.

    Your Kyoto day seems a bit full. Kawaguchiko I would rather do it as a day trip from Tokyo, it is not hat convenient to go from Osaka.

    Ghibli museum is nice if you like Ghibli movie or animation, if neither, might as well skip.

  2. random question but do you follow halal diet? I only ask because I notice some of those restaurants on my saved halal Japanese restaurants 🤩🤩🤩 I’m planning to go in October too for the first time and have not even started my itinerary planning yet (I know so late!!!) so unfortunately I can’t give any recommendations! Enjoy your trip!!

  3. Hi!

    If your flight gets to Narita at 3:00 pm the only way you are getting to Shibuya by 5:00 pm is if your flight gets in super early. Whether you pay out of pocket for the Keisei or planned to take a NEX with a pass, it’s going to take a good 1-1.5 hours just in train time, not including any time it might take for Customs, Immigration, and just getting a ticket and getting to the train. (And if you have a check in, include some time for that.)

    Shiro-Hige doesn’t open until 10:30 am in Daita. You’re not going to get to Osaka until well after 2, probably closer to 3. You can still consider that lunch, but it’s a very late lunch.

  4. Off topic but you’re probably Muslim going by the restaurants you’ve chosen, so I thought I might as well send you my list of Halal restaurants of mostly Japanese food (except for a Libanese restaurant cause I love Lebanese food) that I’ve picked up on for my own itinerary.

    Note that some of these requires advance booking for halal options and some of them don’t serve halal every day of the week, so some research is needed.

    Tokyo:

    * Ayam-ya Halal Ramen Tokyo
    * Halal Ramen Honolu
    * Wagyu Yakiniku Panga
    * Tendon Itsuki
    * Issho Ueno
    * グリルハンター 新宿店Grill HunterShinjuku
    * Măzilù Lanzhou Beef Noodles
    * HALAL SAKURA
    * Gyumon
    * Toribushi Halal Ramen
    * 文 炭火焼肉 うしざか
    * Byblos Lebanese Restaurant
    * SOLEIL Hibiya OKUROJI
    * Aliya Halal Restaurant – Ikebukuro
    * Cafeteria Spice Jaya

    Kyoto:

    * Honke Tankuma Honten
    * Yosiya
    * Hyssop
    * Halal Ramen Ayam Ya Karasuma Kyoto

    Osaka:

    * Zerohachi Yakiniku restaurant
    * Ramen Honolu
    * Matsuri
    * Halal Restaurant Naritaya Osaka minami
    * Halal Wagyu Yakiniku Osaka PANGA | Osaka halal restaurant
    * Ajikitcho Bunbuan
    * ハラール和食みのり Halal Washoku Minori

  5. I’d try to move your schedule so you aren’t going from one side of Tokyo to another everyday. For example ginza and tsukiji are close to each other; harajuku and shibuya are closeby, etc. It’ll save you a bunch of time and you won’t feel as rushed.

    Depending if you like more cultural sights, I’d spend more time in Kyoto instead of Osaka. Osaka’s pretty urbanized and will feel big city like Tokyo a lot.

    Lastly, consider biking around Lake Kawaguchiko instead of a tour. There’s a lot to see around the Lake that tours rarely will take you, great view of Fuji (when there’s no clouds), and it’s one clear path, so it’s hard to get lost.

  6. For teamlab- buy/wear water shoes bc of hygiene issues in the water

    I’ll add tsuki market on the same day as teamlabs bc you’ll be around the same area and not travel as far

    I suggest the ginza and asakusa area together since they are 20 to 30 close

  7. Just came back from Japan a few days ago. Your Kyōto day is very ambitious. There will be a lot of walking in humidity, and lots of crowds. Have you planned transportation to and from each of the sites?
