1 Day Itinerary – Osaka using the “Osaka Amazing Pass”

I just purchased an Osaka Amazing Pass – 1 Day pass and have chosen the following activities:

1. Keitakuen Garden
2. Osaka Tennoji Zoo (1hr stay)
3. Tsutenkaku Tower (Observation deck)
4. Tower slider (Tsutenkaku)
5. HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel
6. Umeda Sky Building KUCHU-TEIEN OBSERVATORY
7. Umeda Sky Building KojiKinutani Tenku Art Museum
8. Sakishima Cosmo TowerObservatory (pending time)
9. Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel (pending time)
10. TOMBORI River JAZZ Boat (night cruise)

I will be staying near Namba Station and wondering if it is possible to cover all of activities 1 – 10 in one day (I plan to complete the activies in the order listed). I intend to pick up the tickets to the cruise in Namba after going to the zoo with the hopes of getting tickets for a 6.30pm or 7.30pm cruise. I feel that going on 2 ferris wheels and multiple observatories will probably not be best.

Is it possible to do all the activities stress free?

Thanks in advance.

  1. I did the bulk of yours, but instead of multiple observatory – we did Osaka Museum Living and Housing which is really cool (reliving EDO period) and some mini towns from the ages.

Jazz cruise you have to watch the schedule. I believe it is only on the weekends and holidays. We instead opted for Wonder cruise with Amazing Pass which allows online reservation.

  2. I usually use Google maps as a guide to see how things fit, set an itinerary with travel times and set priorities so do not miss a must see.

For example, are you aware Keitakuaen Garden opens at 9.30am and is closed each Monday. It’s only a 5 minute walk to your next stop at Tennoji Zoo which is good but your plan will have you exiting the zoo after 11am with 8 stops on your list still to complete.

  3. Line up for the slider before it opens. Otherwise, you’ll end up waiting an hour.
