Searching for screen printing company in Tokyo to print A2 design on handcrafted garments. 🤔

Hi, for years I’ve been searching and asking for a screen printing company in Tokyo/Japan that can print garments I handcraft for my brand. The pieces I’m making are oversized, so the size of my designs is A2.
But all I could find are companies that don’t do A2, and that are crazy expensive. 🫨
Does anyone would know a company, independent, freelance who can do this?
Thanks a lot in advance, it would help a lot. 🙏
Kate.

  1. How big is the “garment” that A2 could be printed on it. I wear 3XL and don’t think A2 would fit on my shirt

  2. Unless you’re doing very high volume I don’t think anyone is going to touch it unfortunately.
Garment printers won’t have the big screens, squeegees and platters needed to print a2, so they’ll have to buy or fabricate platters. It’s even worse if it’s more than one color.
Art poster printers will probably have the correct size screens but probably the wrong mesh. They also probably won’t have flash driers and conveyor driers.
Going down to A3 would most likely solve all your problems.
Have you considered the diy route? You can get most of the things you need from AliExpress, except maybe the screens..

  3. You’re basically looking for a large size printing factory in Tokyo. Rents are high in Tokyo and large scale printing takes space.

Have you tried Googling 大型スクリーン印刷 and sifting through the results? A quick poke turned up [Daiichi Seikei](https://daiichiseikei.com/) in Toyama that does very large size silk screen printing onto fabrics.

That said, since “screen printing” tends to be done in bulk, why not order from overseas if the prices you find in Japan are too high? [Somewhere like this](https://scrappyapparel.com/shirt-screen-printing/large-format/monster/)? (Have never used them, just what came up in Google.) I’m sure there are many, many other options around.
