We used to live in LA and we have some of the best authentic Korean food around. It’s summer time and I am craving for some authentic Korean cold noodle in either Yokohama or Tokyo area. It would be great if I can some recommendations. Thanks!!
Well Okubo-Shin Okubo is the Korean area of course. Sorry I don’t know a specific place though
If you want legit Korean restaurants, go to Akasaka. I imagine there are some proper places in Shin Okubo too but you’d have to brave the literal hordes of teenagers..
Yokohama isn’t so hot for Korean, there are some places in Isezakicho but they are overpriced for such a grim and seedy area (like really, don’t go down those streets at night) haha.
Shin-Okubo has plenty of places that serve proper naengmyeon. Avoid department stores restaurants. They suck at naengmyeon in my experience.
As long as the place has Korean speaking staff it should be legit.
